An original way to support reforestation in the areas most at risk, helping the planet, but also the fauna and local populations, and to raise awareness among the people close to you by informing them about the risks of deforestation. The tree: the symbol of life Trees absorb carbon dioxide and return oxygen through chlorophyll photosynthesis. They are the “green lungs” of the earth because they protect the entire planet from climate change and from the greenhouse effect, thus also contributing to energy saving, as well as the survival of local populations and fauna. Indeed, among the effects of deforestation there is the desertification of areas previously used for grazing and agriculture. Reforest for us and for the planet: Sedicialberi project Adopt a tree and support the Sedicialberi project, engaged in reforestation interventions in those areas of the planet that are most at risk. By choosing one of the trees proposed by iGreen you can contribute to the forest regenerationin the Umian river region, India, or in the estuary of Estero Real, Nicaragua, recognized as one of the wetlands of international importance by the Ramsar convention. Adopt a tree and compensate for CO2 emissions According to the estimates of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC, a tree can compensate for 10 kg of CO2 per year. Adopting one of the trees proposed by iGreenGadgets and Plan Vivo Foundation, you will help a local operator to take care of the tree you have chosen, and you will participate for an entire year in the production of oxygen for the planet, contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions. Choose your tree from three different species The Cesalpinia Velutina with its clusters of yellow flowers supports local beekeeping and guarantees water and shade for crops and animals. Gliricida Sepium, widespread in Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, offers shade and protection to coffee, tea and cocoa plantations with its wide and flat leaves, and with roots that retain water, keeping the soil fertile. Finally, the Pinus Kesiya grows almost exclusively in southern Himalaya and supplies wood and resin to the local populations, who derive a paint from the resin whose production is one of the main sources of livelihood in the area. However, it is one of the species most affected by deforestation. Follow your tree and let your customers and business partners adopt it Choose and adopt a tree, compensate for CO2 and receive your certificate in plantable paper (from 10 trees),to be kept or donated to the people in whose name you have adopted the tree. The Adopt a Tree and Plant a Tree initiatives, through the PlantCare program, also allow you to water your tree regularly and to find out about its health and the amount of CO2 that has contributed to reduce, and you can renew your adoption as many times as you want.
