93 pts James Suckling June 2023 Solid proprietary pinot, beautifully combining the use of clones with judicious oak handling and the sensitive inclusion of whole bunches. The bunchy spice melds with the red fruit, cinnamon, sandalwood and clove scents. Fine sappy length. At this price, hard to find better. Drink or hold. Screw cap.93 pts Winepilot Dec 2023 The estate’s introductory Pinot Noir that collects a range of clones across its Oakbank vineyard. Winemaking with partial whole bunch, whole berry, wild ferments, and the estate practice of 10 months in French barrels. It’s a pure, glossy cherry colour, fragrant with crushed red fruits and, along the same lines, juicy in the palate as well. Clear and precise Pinot characters with lovely, lighter tannins. Very easy to enjoy on its own, or in summer lunch mode.92 pts Gilbert & Gaillard Jan 2023 Clear red colour, moderate intensity. Seductive nose combining floral notes, Morello cherries, fresh grapes and a subtle mineral dimension. Juicy and lively on the palate, framed by very fine tannins with discreet woody accents. Already irresistible.
